- Signaler couverte de données à partir 2008.
- The materiality threshold is clearly stated in the report and has improved over time.
- Good efforts have been made to improve and enforce standards of reliability for company payment data, but this effort does not extend to government receipt data.
- The report provides information on company and agency compliance with the reconciliation process--a practice that could be emulated in other countries.
- The report includes information on company donations to national and local agencies, but poor record-keeping by some local authorities precludes reconciliation of these figures.
- The 2008 report is too enormous to be useful. While it contains the data needed to calculate earnings per-commodity, this information should be included in summary tables rather than spread across 279 pages.
- Because of the EITI committee's definition of materiality, many mining companies are not included in the reports. The 2007 report included only 38 of the 102 companies that provided payment data. It would be useful to know the percentage of revenue contributed by these smaller companies.
